Curtain

Strange things are afoot in a small apartment in New York.  An old boy, Bert has killed himself with a razor but this wasn’t mentioned to the new tenant Danni when she moves in after living with her Uncle Gus.  Going to a department store, she gets all her basic essentials including a new shower curtain for her bathroom which she puts up when she gets home.  The next morning the curtain has disappeared and Danni is puzzled what could have happened.  Anyway she buys another curtain and that one disappears as well.

Setting up her phone to record what is happening in her bathroom, she is shocked to see the curtain getting sucked into the wall.  Showing her work colleague Tim, they try to work out what the hell is going on.  Throw in a homeless guy, creepy dudes brandishing knives, weirds dreams and you have a film which is startingly original and strange.

Of course, with an inter dimensional portal in someone’s bathroom which sucks in shower curtains does have a battle for you to take seriously but stick with it.  There is a some humour thrown into the mix from the building caretaker and Willy the pissed up homeless man but generally it’s played dead straight and very, out there.

I had no idea what to expect and halfway into the film, I still didn’t have a clue how things would pan out.  The film is VERY different hence the curtain as a plot device and some people might dismiss it as a load of old tosh.  It’s certainly a ‘Marmite’ film, so I’ll let you make your own mind up.  Myself, I thought it was all a bit odd, weird but very watchable.
