Shortly after the Ultimate Warrior passed away, the WWE Network aired a tribute documentary about him which was very respectful and moving. A year on, that documentary has been expanded into one part of this comprehensive set celebrating his life.
The documentary features heavy on earlier interview footage from the Warrior as at that point he had made amends with the WWE. You get to see him go to WWE HQ to discuss where their new relationship would go and also there is plenty of backstage stuff from Wrestlemania. The McMahon family is interviewed extensively as is Warrior’s wife and daughters. All of them provide an insight into the man, husband and father. It’s a cracking documentary and one of WWE’s best.
The rest of the package is rounded out with stacks of mayches from his career. There’s some Dingo Warrior matches but mainly its the old WWF covered with bouts taking on the likes of The Brooklyn Brawler and Iron Mike Sharpe, remember him?
Blu-ray owners get even more as is the norm with WWE releases, but included are some of the Warrior’s promos. These are totally priceless and watching him rant and get pumped up is just as much fun now as it was back then.
Like the previous Warrior set, an essential purchase for wrestling historians as there will never be a bloke quite like him.
